Christmas in a winter wonderland.....what could be a more ideal setting right?? There's even a song about it!! But there is definatley something missing in Whistler around christmas time. Sure it gets alot of ticks on paper : snow for that white christmas feel, All the lights, decorations and christmas trees as far as the eye can see.....But theres one key aspect lacking and this year it was more aparent than ever.
FAMILY!!! for some reason this year I felt more like an orphan then every other year I've spent away from home. Don't get me wrong......I still had an amazing christmas I just missed loved ones alot more this year, especially my lovely Lena. I think next year I'll be ready for a good ol' fashioned family christmas, even all the stress that comes along with it!
Overall Christmas 09' was a super fun day! While Old Saint Nic was spreading his christmas cheer all over the world, me and a few friends shared a few cheeky laps through Blue park and then back to my place for a feast of epic proportions!! Big props to the ladies for putting on an awesome spread and thanks to everyone who came for sharing the christmas cheer and Birthday celebrations....Nothing says Christmas like beer pong and a food coma!
One of the great things I have realised about Whistler is that your never really alone. We are all in the same boat, friends become your new family and I'm thankful to have such a good crew.
