Fare ye well young traveller. The west wind blows and the foreign shores call ye further more. Do not be swayed by poison ale and painted wenches, for they will smite you down against the rocky shore. In their stead, conquer thee snow capped peaks upon your board of fury,as thy are stout of heart and strong of will. Safe travels.

Christmas in Whistler 2.0

Christmas in a winter wonderland.....what could be a more ideal setting right?? There's even a song about it!! But there is definatley something missing in Whistler around christmas time. Sure it gets alot of ticks on paper : snow for that white christmas feel, All the lights, decorations and christmas trees as far as the eye can see.....But theres one key aspect lacking and this year it was more aparent than ever.

FAMILY!!! for some reason this year I felt more like an orphan then every other year I've spent away from home. Don't get me wrong......I still had an amazing christmas I just missed loved ones alot more this year, especially my lovely Lena. I think next year I'll be ready for a good ol' fashioned family christmas, even all the stress that comes along with it!

Overall Christmas 09' was a super fun day! While Old Saint Nic was spreading his christmas cheer all over the world, me and a few friends shared a few cheeky laps through Blue park and then back to my place for a feast of epic proportions!! Big props to the ladies for putting on an awesome spread and thanks to everyone who came for sharing the christmas cheer and Birthday celebrations....Nothing says Christmas like beer pong and a food coma!
One of the great things I have realised about Whistler is that your never really alone. We are all in the same boat, friends become your new family and I'm thankful to have such a good crew.

Christmas in Whistler.

While some are sitting around the fireplace sipping on eggnogg discussing the weave of their knitted sweaters, Rick Brooks is sending Black Park in perfect afternoon glow. I know how I would rather spend my christmas eve.

Whoop! 24...almost a quarter century...It's really a bit of a nothing number?? 18 and 21 they were nice wholesome ages, full of life and prosperity...the turning of times, but 24?? Who really wants to be 24? I'm pretty much just the creepy older guy working in a ski shop thinking he's down with the hip youngsters...ha. I should start some sort of celebration of turning 24....a novelty size cheque would be nice...Maybe just a certificate of some sort saying that everything is going to be alright! Although I didn't get either of those I did get a bunch of rad gifts and high 5's from friends! Thanks to Cara for making uber rad cupcakes and the rest of the crew for serenading me at work, you guys made my day!! Steve Aoki hosted the rollover into 24 the night before too..big thanks to him for probably one of the funnest nights out in whistler,LET'S GET NUDE AND VIOLENT!! any who getting older isn't really that daunting, Sure enough it will take it's toll eventually but for now whether your 18,24 or 44 who cares as long as your enjoying yourself age really isn't an issue.

Breakfast and Beers.

7am start..10 pounds of meat..a mess of powdered eouff and way too many tots all covered in canada's finest condiment! Not exactly the healthiest way to tackle 30cm of wet clumpy snow but thats how myself and a few friends decided to spend the day...all was well untill a nearly dislocated shoulder caused my retirement from the days festivities. Now 3 beers deep into the evening and hoping the rollover into MY 24TH BIRTHDAY!! is equally as fun as today...hopefully with less injury...Steve Aoki is playing at Garfs it shall be fun. Big thanks to all for the birthday wishes from my international friends and family (ich liebe dich lena!).....much appreciated.

Yo!!!!!!
I guess this is just another one of the projects ill start and most likely never finish/continue but untill I give up on this new world of blogging this is whats happening.
I'll be trying to throw down bits and pieces of the past and present, the in's and out's of day to day living and the random detritus that makes me laugh.
So if your find yourself bored roaming the web, swing by and check out whats happening inside my bubble.
